"Eric Smith"

Eric grew up in Rendon, Texas, a small town south of Fort Worth. He started hunting with his Grandpa when he turned 12. After his first hunting experience, Eric knew he wanted to spend most of his time with wildlife in the great outdoors.

Eric graduated in 2000 from Mansfield High School and then went directly to Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. The choice of majors was easy for Eric. He graduated in 2004 with a Wildlife Biology degree. Immediately following graduation, Eric attended the Inter agency Wildfire Academy in Bastrop, Texas where he became a certified Wildland Firefighter. After the fire academy, the job hunt began.

He was hired by Charles Allan, an Alaskan outfitter who specialized in Silver Salmon fly fishing, waterfowl, Brown Bear, and moose hunting. After 3 months in Alaska, Eric began looking for a permanent position in the whitetail hunting and breeding industry. After working for Ben Doskocil, a whitetail breeder in the Fort Worth-Dallas area, Eric was hired as Ranch Manager of the Moore Ranch.
